Called to shepherd the flock,

yet daily ministry is a constant struggle of competing needs and demands,

leaving pastors feeling exhausted.

Are we expected to endlessly absorb all the emotions, troubles, criticisms, and conflicts within the community?

Sometimes we suffer in silence, and sometimes we unconsciously project our own past shadows,

for we all, to some extent, carry our own wounds.

In a community learning about the love of the Lord,

we are often hurt even more, and end up hurting one another.

In today's #trauma -filled generation,

how does the healing Lord speak to us?

#wounded If this is the truth about ourselves,

how can we take steps to heal ourselves and become #healersfor others?
